  • Development and implementation of Quality Assurance programs for production, selection and delivery of high quality, virus tested planting stock from grapevine nurseries worldwide.  Representation of vineyard and winery Client interests in securing high quality planting stock.  Forensic analysis of vineyard performance in new and established vineyards.  Critical evaluation of issues impacting yield and productivity in vineyards and commercial crops.

 

  • Chief Executive Officer and Founder, NovaVine Grapevine Nursery, Santa Rosa, California.  1996-1999.  Responsible for all quality control and production operations.  Established joint venture with Vivai Cooperativi Rauscedo, Rauscedo, Italy, for import of Italian clones and proprietary production technology.

 

  • VP Business Development, Senior Scientist, Agritope, Inc., Beaverton, Oregon. 1989-1995.  Established and managed grapevine biotechnology program focused on in vitro and genetic improvement, disease elimination, and commercial propagation of elite germplasm.  Research direction and marketing of proprietary ethylene control technology for shelf life extension in fruits, flowers and vegetables.
